GSK + Pandora integrate audio into arthritis treatment.

Audio has a profound effect on our overall health.

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has identified with this + partnered with Pandora to create playlists for its Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel + treatment.

“Voltaren’s brand goal is to help consumers feel the joy of movement….Pandora was a natural partner in that effort due to music’s ability to inspire movement,” stated Dianna Facchina, senior sales executive at Pandora.

Using a mobile phone’s gyroscope, users activate uninterrupted listening by shaking their phone as opposed the using their fingers, which can become a painful ordeal with arthritis.

The playlists have also been designed to match the beats per minute (BPM) of the songs, with the movements + activity.

Brands are quickly realizing the power of Audio…

“This campaign, especially given the timing, represents how important it is to be working together on creative concepting + audio assets early on in strategy, it represents how quickly we are transitioning into a world where it is imperative for brands to represent themselves without depending on visuals. Sound + audio can create powerful memories that remain with us for decades,” Facchina said. “It can be very powerful, especially in the health industry.”
